Security & Audits

Every step. Fully traceable.

The audit log shows who did what, and when: logins, shares, downloads and permission changes. Every entry is stored permanently and cannot be changed, and passwords are never logged. Hosted in Germany and GDPR-compliant.

The essentials about SDX at a glance. Your question isn’t here? Write to us.

  • For small and medium-sized businesses with 5 to 500 employees that exchange sensitive documents with clients and partners, such as consultancies, finance teams and project-driven companies.

  • No. SDX runs in the browser, at your desk as well as on your phone. Your users and recipients don’t have to install anything.

  • An SDX instance is set up in one day. How much tailoring to your branding and processes comes on top, we decide together with you.

  • In Germany. SDX is hosted and operated in Germany. If you prefer, SDX also runs on-premise in your own IT, or as a dedicated instance that we run for you.

  • Yes. SDX is GDPR-compliant and built for security from the ground up: every transfer is encrypted via HTTPS, and accounts can be protected with two-factor authentication (TOTP).

  • Yes. The audit log records every preview, download and change, with who and when. Entries are stored permanently and cannot be changed. You filter by period, action, user or portal and export as CSV, TSV, XLSX or JSON. More about Audits

  • Very: for spaces, folders and single files, per user or group. Besides the levels Read, Read/Write and All, there are eleven individual rights, such as upload only or view metadata only.

  • No. External recipients open shares and use upload pages without an account of their own.

  • You share folders or single files and decide what recipients may do: download, upload or delete. On top come an optional password, an expiry date (14 days by default) and your own look for the share page. More about External Share

  • Yes. Besides e-mail, you can share content via a direct link or a QR code. If you like, the QR code comes in your colours and with your logo.

  • Yes, through your own upload pages. You set required fields, allowed file formats, naming rules and size or page limits. SDX checks every file on upload and files each submission in its own folder.

  • You set the limits yourself, per file and in total. By default, the limit is 10 GB.

  • Yes. You adapt the logo, colours, fonts, login page, e-mails and share pages to your corporate design, down to your own CSS. Several portals with their own look can run on one instance.

  • Yes. SDX is modular: we build widgets, portals and processes to fit your business, for example the DGS investor portal, where every investor sees their own projects and figures.

  • Yes. Standardised interfaces (APIs) connect SDX to your existing systems, such as ERP, CRM or your website. For deeper customisation there is an SDK for Java and TypeScript.
